Been here about ten times and eight have been perfect. Menu is always changing and usually there are some winners. Quality of ingredients are always great. Service is usually amazing, only one visit we had bad service. Overall this place is going to be decent.
Couchiching Craft Brewing Co. hosted a business event that we attended for Christmas.
The restaurant itself has a rustic and inviting feel. The servers were attentive, and friendly. (Orillia needs more establishments like this restaurant/bar, it certainly "cleans up" the downtown core.)
I can't be certain how many people that this event hosted that night as it was a large party, however, they didn't have enough room to accommodate everybody on the same floor. That being said, they have 2 floors that can accommodate 2 different parties at one time.
The entire event was catered by the brewery, and the food was incredible. They served fall off the bone ribs, coleslaw, fresh buns, potato salad, mini quiche, chicutery boards and dessert. Our favorite drink was the candy cane martini.
I haven't been to this establishment other than this catered event, so I'm not certain what it would be like to go during the dinner hour. As for a private party, I would definitely recommend this restaurant. They met our expectations.

For Pub fare food it is done fairly well.
The Hoisin Chili Sauce for the wings was very tasty.

Disorganized and allow annoying comedians to waste people's time.
We went for dinner and arrived at 7pm, the hostess explained they had a comedy act at and that we would be required to pay if we stayed for that. We had no problem being in and out within an hour and so we were seated.
7:15 server comes over to explain that the comedians (who look like they work in HR rather than comedy) refused to go on if there were kid present. (We had an 8 and 11 year old with us). We stated we didn't want to stick around just eat and go. So the server said they would push our order through.
7:20 manager comes over to tell us that the comedians won't perform and asks us to take the food to go. We didn't feel like eating in the truck or cars... seeing as it is winter. The food order was taken and we would eat and go quickly.
7:30 manager comes back over. The comedians are visibly having little tantrums and go outside for some air. Keep in mind they're still not late for their set. The manager says we can have the food to go and get 50% off. We still don't want to eat in the cars so we decide to just leave.
Outside, on our way to find a different establishment, the comedians are visibly having their feelings hurt. One goes inside but the other remains outside to stare us down as we leave... They're still not due to start their "comedy" and yet they're visibly livid that we had the audacity to sit down an hour before their set and then have our time wasted.
Had we been informed and had our order taken right away we would have been gone before 8pm anyways. The entire thing was handled in a weird way. I would never be comfortable in there and will not be going back.
I absolutely LOVED their friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, and professional staff along with their amazing brews and excellent food. I was so impressed with everything they had to offer. Kudos to you all!!
This was a great find, we went on a mid week break to Oreilla and while walking through town found this gem. I can’t fault a thing, the service was impeccable and our server even gave us tips of things to do in the local area. The food was 10/10 my partner got a burger and we shared a charcuterie board, our server explained all about what was on the board and the variety was excellent. We also tried some of the beers and none disappointed . Our favourite was probably the sunshine city light larger but we also loved
The black river shiver. We had such a great time that we returned later in the evening and found there were doing a Christmas quiz, which was great fun, the atmosphere service and the people was amazing would 10/10 recommend and we will most definitely be back.
Had lunch there today! Food was very good and service was quick! Tried different beers with a flight! Waitress was knowledgeable and very friendly!
Patio had a small dog friendly area but was quite hot without any sun umbrellas (reason for the 4star rating) Waitress brought out water for our pup tho!
Overall a great experience! Came home with some craft beer and a T-shirt!
Atmosphere and service are great, but don’t go for the food. Our chicken nachos had 4 small chunks of chicken, a bit of cheese, and a lot of naked chips. Extremely poor value for $22.
